The Specter 700 V2 Nitro Ultimate evolves from XLPower’s proven nitro platform —
a refined redesign of the original Specter 700 Nitro, engineered for higher precision, improved balance, and an even smoother flight feel.
Built upon the same trusted mechanical foundation, the V2 Ultimate introduces a series of major engineering upgrades, including a brand-new pre-balanced clutch system,
an extended precision engine shaft, and an optimized 8.17:1 main gear ratio.
This refined gearing increases torque output, delivers stronger engine response, and makes tuning easier and less sensitive to needle adjustment —
giving pilots a broader and more stable tuning range.
The main gear now features a solid CNC structure, significantly reducing deformation and ensuring consistent, smooth power transfer even under heavy load.
The left carbon side frame has been reinforced with fewer front servo openings, greatly improving torsional rigidity and crash resistance.
Even after hard impacts, the frame maintains alignment and integrity, ensuring long-term durability and reduced maintenance.
At the heart of the drivetrain, the new extended engine shaft ensures less than 0.02mm runout from factory,
achieving perfect concentricity and vibration-free power delivery.
The starter coupling has been relocated outside the bearing to prevent clutch loosening,
while the shaft sleeve taper angle has been optimized to provide secure engagement without excessive tightening or slippage.
The tail system adopts the same design as the Specter 700 V2 Ultimate electric version,
featuring a CNC teeter-style tail rotor assembly and curved damping washers with O-rings,
providing stronger tail hold, reduced vibration, and a smoother, more linear control feel —
delivering an electric-like flight experience with full parts compatibility.
Externally, the Nitro Ultimate debuts a refreshed white aesthetic with a white tail boom, white landing skids, white vertical fin, and a new canopy design,
giving it a clean, modern, and balanced appearance that reflects its refined mechanical character.
With its blend of enhanced drivetrain precision, reinforced structure, and updated styling,
the Specter 700 V2 Nitro Ultimate defines a new generation of nitro performance —

Taper-Fit Clutch Design for MAXIMUM CONCENTRICITY
The Specter 700 V2 Nitro Ultimate introduces XLPower’s proprietary taper-fit clutch system, a precision-engineered interface inspired by machine-tool spindle technology.
This tapered connection between the engine shaft and clutch assembly ensures perfect concentricity among the engine, fan, and clutch, maintaining alignment under all operating conditions and minimizing vibration at high RPM.Based on the original Specter 700 Nitro design, the system has been fully refined with a factory pre-balanced clutch assembly and a new extended precision engine shaft.
The shaft is manufactured with less than 0.02 mm runout from factory, ensuring exceptional concentric accuracy and rotational stability. The reduced taper angle provides a tighter, more consistent engagement while requiring less torque to achieve full locking —reliable, repeatable, and easy to service.
Recommended tightening torque is 18 – 20 Nm, offering secure retention without excessive force.

The power system mounts from below, allowing the entire engine to be removed in just a few minutes —no longer requiring the tedious disassembly typical of conventional nitro models.

REDESIGNED AIRFRAME
The Specter 700 NME is built around a lightweight, ultra-rigid carbon fiber frame that maximizes strength while minimizing overall mass. Its streamlined layout achieves exceptional balance and agility without sacrificing durability. The optimized frame geometry distributes loads evenly throughout the structure, resulting in fast, precise handling and superior flight stability. Every gram of material serves performance — no excess, no compromise.
ULTIMATE TAIL ROTOR SYSTEM
The Specter 700 V2 Nitro Ultimate tail system is engineered for maximum precision, strength, and long-term reliability. Its all-CNC, one-piece construction improves alignment accuracy, structural rigidity, and vibration resistance. The system adopts a teeter-style tail rotor design, identical to full-scale helicopter mechanics, delivering superior tail hold, reduced vibration, and quieter operation.
Inside the tail rotor hub, curved shim washers with damping O-rings absorb micro-vibrations,providing smoother tail response and improved long-term durability. This refined tail system gives the Nitro Ultimate the same flight feel and precision control as the electric version, while offering full parts compatibility between nitro and electric models —making maintenance, upgrades, and spares completely interchangeable.Together, it delivers the hallmark XLPower tail performance:
