The SAB ilGoblin Competizione is the result of years of competition experience and extensive testing with some of the world's best Goblin pilots. During its development, SAB followed a consistent zero-compromise philosophy: every design solution is engineered to deliver maximum performance, precision, and an exceptionally direct flying feel.
Every gram counts in competition flying. Despite being designed for extreme performance and aggressive flight maneuvers, the ilGoblin Competizione achieves a remarkably low airframe weight of just 1,990 g.
The rotor head system of the ilGoblin Competizione has been optimized for a true 1:1 control ratio. Combined with the new rigid PEEK damping system, it provides exceptionally direct and precise control response, specifically designed for demanding aerobatic and competition flying.
Titanium blade bolts and combined titanium-Delrin blade washers complement the performance-focused rotor head design. The blue radius arm has a length of 27 mm.
The 35 mm carbon tail boom features internal aluminum reinforcements. A newly developed locking washer ensures reliable securing of the tail boom. In addition, the helicopter features a new tail belt tensioning system and an exceptionally lightweight 35 mm tail rotor housing.
The servo layout has also been further developed. A new rear mount for the swashplate servo integrates seamlessly into the clean and weight-optimized design. Standard-size 40 mm servos are specified for both the swashplate and tail.
The ilGoblin Competizione can be configured with either a 6S or 12S power system. Depending on the selected configuration, SAB specifies motors with 480 to 560 KV or 950 to 1100 KV.
The available space for the flight battery measures 50 × 60 × 300 mm. With a wide selection of compatible main rotor blades ranging from 650 to 730 mm, the model can be configured to suit the pilot's preferred flying style and power setup.
The SAB ilGoblin Competizione is designed for pilots who refuse to compromise on precision, agility, and performance.
