In contrast to conventional 550-class designs, the RS5 features a reinforced main shaft and tail shaft with diameters of 12 mm and 6 mm respectively. The one-piece tail shaft and hub, combined with a large-diameter tail boom (approx. 30 mm) and an oversized swashplate assembly, contribute to improved agility.

The main frame adopts a rigid cage structure with reinforced side panels, providing the RS5 with exceptional overall stiffness. In addition, the newly designed streamlined canopy enhances its visual appearance.

The RS5 is designed for mini swash servos; however, both mini and standard servos can be installed in the airframe without the need for additional replacement parts.
