The Nine Eagles Edge 540 3G FTR RTF is a compact, true-scale aerobatic model fitted with the advanced 3G stabilisation system. With its fast, direct flying characteristics the Edge 540 3G is suitable for the advanced model pilot with prior flying experience. The powerful brushless motor provides ample reserves of power as required for an aerobatic model.
The Edge 540 3G's compact dimensions and robust EPO foam construction make it an uncomplicated fun-model for those brief interludes which are just right for a little high-speed flying fun.

The aircraft on which the Nine Eagles Edge 540 is based is a high-performance aerobatic machine of American manufacture which has been successful in innumerable Air Races.

The model
The Nine Eagles Edge 540 is an ideal model for advanced pilots looking for a small, compact aerobatic model. The 3G stabilisation system provides effective support to the pilot when flying aerobatics, enabling him to maintain full control of his model even in gusty light-wind conditions.

Stabilisation system
The integral triple-axis stabilisation system stabilises aileron, rudder and elevator, and supports the pilot during demanding flight manoeuvres and in difficult flying conditions. If an optional Futaba FHSS transmitter is used, the stabilisation function can be switched on and off from the transmitter using a fifth channel.

Futaba Transmitter Ready (FTR)
The 2.4 GHz radio control system included in the set works according to the FTR standard (Futaba Transmitter Ready). This means that the transmitter and receiver exploit the Futaba S-FHSS code, and are therefore compatible with all Futaba S-FHSS radio control systems (e.g. T6J or T14SG). The model can therefore be flown using any high-quality Futaba S-FHSS radio control system - ideal for all modellers moving up or making the change.

The RTF version of the model includes the complete 2.4 GHz radio control system (pre-set to Mode 2, can be set to Modes 1-2), LiPo flight battery, charger and mains PSU.
