The FX-30: a new low-profile computer transmitter for tray use, exploiting 2.4 GHz FASST technology. The FASST system is a Spread Spectrum system with Frequency Hopping (FHSS). For this reason it is permitted to broadcast a maximum output of 100 mW EIRP, giving it ample reserves even for large-scale model aircraft and jets.

No crystals, no spot frequency selection, maximum security from same-channel interference.

Virtually interference-free due to Spread Spectrum modulation, frequency hopping and encoding from transmitter to receiver using more than 130 million codes.

Please see the FASST introduction page for a detailed description of the advantages of the FASST system.

Simple to program, with graphic menu system and large 255 x 96 pixel graphic LCD monitor and single-button operation using the 3-D hotkey. Comprehensive software provides all the essential facilities even for power models, gliders and helicopters with extensive functions. Plenty of freely programmable mixers are available with up to 17-point curves for setting up very complex mixer functions. Includes logical switched function for switches and sticks.

The menu and programming systems are identical to those of the T14MZ / FX-40 sets. Model data can be interchanged using an SD memory card, and is also compatible with the T12Z, T14MZ and FX-40 if the converter program is used.

The FASST system provides 14 channels with a resolution of 2048 steps. The large bandwidth available makes it possible to provide many high-resolution channels and fast signal repeat rates (16.5 ms). Virtually real-time control.

The latest BGA (Ball Grid Array) layout technology enabled us to reduce the size of the matching R 6014 FS FASST receiver (with aerial diversity system) to just 52,5 x 37,5 x 16 mm, and a weight of only 21 g.

Special precision-made dual-axis stick units with four ballraces, and long-life industrial-standard potentiometers. Experience the new feeling of control for yourself. The stick units are set up for universal mode, and can be converted from "throttle right" to "throttle left" by the user himself.

The FX-30 transmitter features a new technology for the stick trims, namely rotary trims. This technology combines the advantages of traditional analogue trims with those of digital trims. The direction and magnitude of the trim value is set with a single movement, and the value is automatically stored in the transmitter.

All the physical adjustors on the transmitter can be set up to act as transmitter controls, and the sequence of these controls are freely selectable. The servo output sequence is also variable without restriction.

Thirty internal model memories; can be expanded to 1 GB (1958 models) using an optional SD memory card. Software updates are also possible using SD cards.

General
  • Language select: German, English, with software update additional languages like French, Italian, Spain, Czech and Dutch available
  • Model select, thirty internal model memories, can be expanded to 1958 models using optional SD card (32 MB - 1 GB)
  • Model name with eight characters, user's name with twelve characters
  • Operating hours timer, two timers, one model memory-specific
  • Unrestricted transmitter control assignment, channels 1 ... 12, mode select
  • Twelve proportional channels plus two switched channels
  • Function reverse for all channels, also hardware transmitter control reverse.
  • Trainer mode with individual function transfer and mix mode operation.
  • Digital stick trims, optionally with normal, centre or ATL (asymmetrical) trim function. Optionally for group mode (effective in all model memories) or single mode (only effective in the defined flight mode).
  • Freely selectable trim control for each transmitter control (including switches / sliders), including digital buttons, analogue rotary controls and linear sliders.
  • Servo travel adjustment with limit function (ATV) for the twelve proportional channels.
  • Four stick functions, six switches, two rotary controls, two linear sliders, six rotary trimmers.
  • Freely selectable transmitter controls and sequence for the twelve proportional channels and four virtual channels. Up to six switchable Dual Rate settings per function.
  • Alternatively with pre-programmed transmitter control settings from linear via exponential to 9-point (17-point) curve. With separately variable speed adjustment and delay for "out" and "back". Optional group mode (effective in all flight modes) or single mode (effective only in the defined flight mode).
  • Eight flight modes per model memory, with user-defined priority; any name can be assigned.
  • Ten freely programmable mixers per model memory. With pre-programmed transmitter control settings which can be called up, from linear to nine-point curve; can be expanded to 17-point curves. Optionally with / without trim. "Stick to stick" or "stick to servo" mix modes. With separate delay and speed settings for switching the mixing on and off. The mixers can be connected in series (cascading); switches, transmitter control functions or virtual functions can be selected as transmitter controls.
  • With offset function and fine-tuning by external mixer input adjustment using rotary control, switch or stick. Optional group mode (effective in all flight modes) or single mode (effective only in the defined flight mode). Alternatively each programmable mixer can be switched from the curve mixer to an offset mode. This offset mixer enables you to mix a maximum of four offset values per programmable mixer into freely selectable functions, with separate adjustment of delay and speed for switching on and switching off. Optional time-controlled offset function for a maximum of four functions, typically used for door sequencers. Naturally this mixer function can optionally be activated in group mode (effective in all flight modes) or single mode (effective only in the defined flight mode).

Power models (Acro)
  • Comprehensive mixer menus for a vast range of powered model aircraft, from models with one aileron servo to aeroplanes with up to eight wing-mounted servos.
  • In addition to the choice of wing type it is also possible to select the tail variant, i.e. normal, separate elevators with aileron function (ailvator) and V-tail.
  • Model deltas and powered flying wings with 2 ... 8 wing-mounted servos are also available.
  • These mixer menus are already pre-programmed to suit the model once called up, and contain all the required mixer functions.
  • Gliders (Glider)
  • Here again a comprehensive range of mixer menus is available to cater for a vast variety of model types, from aircraft with one aileron servo up to aeroplanes with a maximum of eight wing-mounted servos.
  • Optionally with or without power system.
  • In addition to the choice of wing type it is also possible to select the tail variant, i.e. normal, separate elevators with aileron function (ailvator) and V-tail.
  • Flying wings with 2 ... 10 wing-mounted servos are also available.
  • These mixer menus are already pre-programmed, and contain all the required mixer functions.

Helicopters
  • The helicopter mixer menus differ basically in the method of swashplate actuation. All the classic swashplate linkages, including H1, H2, HR3, HN3, H4, plus the new H3 90° and H3 140° are included as standard.
  • Every imaginable mixer function is available in these menus.
  • One special feature is the new kind of variable pushrod travel compensation for the H3 and H4 types. This prevents the differential throws which are otherwise inevitable with large or asymmetrical travels, and which can cause damage to the swashplate servos in the long-term. The speed of the pitch-axis (elevator) function can also be adjusted, in order to avoid the run-time differences with the HR3 / HN3 120° swashplate linkage. With integral virtual swashplate rotation. Swashplate ring mixer for 3-D pilots.
